Palazzo del Mare – Harp Residence
Fisher Island, Florida
Year of Construction:
2009
Area:
10,000 sq. ft.
Design Explanation:
The Harp family was a fan of our previous work, and essentially allowed us free reign of their design. In fact, they had very few design requests- they wanted something modern, and they wanted red. From there, we were able to create a home that was truly unique and specific to both our own style and theirs. Individuality has always been key for us, so we created lots of custom pieces, including a textural glass wall treatment that was dimensional and interesting. The use of glass, natural stone, dark woods, and marbles, served as a backdrop for new technologies, like the Infinity tub in the Master Bathroom, the open 3-piece fireplace in the Great Room, and the 2-way mirror that allows the television to be viewed from anywhere throughout the entire Master Suite. It actualized itself into a truly special home that was personal to the tastes of the client as well as our own.
